Getting on a team:
The OCHL has a different model than any other recreational hockey league. The only way to get a roster spot at the start of the season is to attend the annual draft game in September. Each player will play in a half-hour long game, and the delegations from each of the teams make their picks.
Player's wishes for where they play and in which division are respected. The system is designed to make each team as competitive as possible within it's division. New talent should be available to all teams, so that each has an opportunity to improve.
All registered and paid players are guaranteed a spot.
Late registrants will be assigned to teams with open spots on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Simply register through this website (click here), and you will receive instructions about the draft game via email. If you are registering late, you will receive an email with your roster assignment.
